Saying singers become increasingly vain with age, that he thought the remarks on [Weber's] Freischütz in Stuttgart were quite correct, adding that he will be in Holland from the 20th to the 30th--Schumann's Faust in Amsterdam on the 30th--, then in Carlsruhe, Stuttgart, Munich, finally Vienna, then London, asking about the Signale [für die musikalische Welt] for 1869, asking where Ullmann is, where Miska Hauser and Ole Bull live, if [Francesco?] Lucca is still alive, mentioning Rubinstein, etc.
